Transparency and Data are the powerful tools in eGovernance : Sanjay Kumar Panigrahi

Speaking on the latest trends in the corporate world, CEO of SREI SAHAJ e-Village Ltd. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Panigrahi says that transparency and data are the powerful tools in e-Governance; data is going to decide how you are going to do business. He also said that no business plans are perfect and they need to be changed regularly. He was speaking at the 'Youth to Business Forum 2010' organized by Manipal University in association with CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad and SOIL, India on 18th September 2010 at the TMA Pai Convention Centre.

"Entrepreneur is born, not made; you need to find the passion and fire within you , it is better to find it early because, if you fail you can always go back" says Mr. Ashwin Ramesh, CEO OrganicApex, the youngest CEO in India.

"Don't do something which you don't understand; to become a successful entrepreneur you should always have the passion and love for whatever you are doing" says Mr. Ramesh. He also said "For me business is a game. If you lose you can always become a better player".

Mr. Sanjay Kumar Panigrahi CEO of SREI Sahaj e-Village, Ms. Neha Anand  Leader (Marketing & Communication) School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL), Mr. Ashwin Ramesh, CEO OrganicApex, Mr. Sudip Dutta  MD & CEO of Aporv (www.aporv.com) and Ms. Aditi Gupta  Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) conducted interactive and constructive sessions on Sustainable Business Models, Corporate Social Responsibility, Innovation in Emerging Markets and Entrepreneurship.

"Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of opportunity beyond the resources we currently control" said Mr. Sudip Dutta who was speaking on the topic Social Entrepreneurship. Highlighting some of the main rules of ethics he said "Treat others as you would want to be treated, and adding value to a customer should be the priority of an entrepreneur".

'Youth to Business Forum 2010' is the first event of its kind targeting the Mangalore and Manipal Corporate Market, so as to simulate AIESEC in both cities. The student population of both the cities got an opportunity of a lifetime to interact and associate with the speakers at the Forum.


The panel discussion on the topic 'Return on Investment (ROI) of MBA' with the speakers being the panelists witnessed a great deal of participation from the students. The Networking Dinner hosted by AIESEC Manipal University at Taj Gateway Hotel for Corporate, Student Delegates and Speakers of the Forum helped the students to understand the network and scope of the organization.

Speaking to mangalorean.com, Ms. Aditi Gupta of (CIIE) Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship said that CIIE promotes entrepreneurship in India by providing office space, funding and guidance. She says that CIIE is like an incubator which supports high-tech business models and helps them commercialize their business. Nearly 35 companies have started so far with CIIE's help and 10 of them have already left as they have grown large enough to support themselves.

On being asked about his early challenges and experiences, Mr. Ashwin Ramesh, youngest CEO of India said that OrganicApex is a Specialized Digital Marketing Firm with offices in 3 major global locations, Elk Grove, Orlando and Chennai. He turned entrepreneur when he was fifteen and a half years old. OrganicApex was founded on January 2006, he set up his company in a small room with one employeeand has been delivering consistent value to partners and clients ever since. They specialize in Search Engine Optimization ( SEO), Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC), Search Engine friendly Web Design, Strategic Link Building, Social Media Marketing and Search Engine Reputation Management.  He currently employs 50 people in his company.

The objective of 'Youth To Business Forum' is to provide for a platform where representatives of companies such as Srei Sahaj, Arcadia Insurance Co., OrganicApex and the associations get to interact  with students, focusing primarily on entrepreneurial suggestive. Through sessions, panel discussions, workshops and the networking dinner, AIESEC hopes to bring the Campus to the Corporate and vice-versa.
